Four dance performances (un)staged and restaged for Van Abbehuis.
P o l y p t y c h is a one hour and a half ongoing performance composed of four dance pieces (three solos and one participatory installation) divided in several rooms. The public is invited to experience each of them by wandering and following the fours performers.
In order of happening:
Jacaranda: a collection
Las palmas de las manos. La palma de una mano. La fuerza de la ternura me hunde la cara en bucle (¿me llegará la cabeza?).
An interactive exhibition-performance based on the premise of curiosity rather than naming, through self audio description, Laura will propose the audience to visit (be it by imagination, by physicality, or by mirror neurones) ways of the body that expose or relate to the places where emotions could dwell.

The Heart Beat project. Also called red boots.
Heartbeat project is an intimate and rhythmical solo. By using a sound amplification of her heartbeat, Lisa seeks to live the ultimate experience of the performer who offers a part of their life to their audience. What does it mean to break the mystery of the performer, impeccable, true and confident?
Is it then possible to act; or are you condemned to truth, like a lie detector.

Did You Ever Watch a Birthday Candle Finish?
A birthday passes between expectation and reality, where loneliness, memory, and brief celebration shape the day.
When did my mum stop organizing the parties I never wanted?
A5
A5 is a piece that dives into emotions and thoughts about misogynistic behaviours, the male gaze, and the disappointment that comes with it.
This solo is a continuation of her research/solo WAGYU (2025). As in the way that it is instilled in her cultural background (Cyprus and El Salvador), she always felt the need to be the perfect woman.
A lot of her inspiration comes from female icons. This piece is dedicated to all the males that hate her.

Death Proof is a dance project led and built by 4 gentlewomen performers: Gaia Cavagliá (IT), Ana Paula Lemus Payiatsou (CY x SV), Laura López Ferrer (ES) and Lisa Kiesgen (FR). Their main project is to resist their own artistic death by supporting each other’s creations and research. The style of the project is inspired by cinematographic culture and images, intimate experiences and physical theatre, with the main goal of experiencing the stage as a place of transformation. For Death Proof, stage is the opportunity to push the limit of performativity and presence. Death Proof believes that any art should be able to be felt by everyone that wants to, independently of their abilities or resources. When anything is created with this believe in mind and action, it is following the principles of Universal design, and Death Proof believes in them. Death Proof aims to create performances for formal settings (theatre) as well as for unusual settings or other type of media as long as they give the opportunity to share emotions and experience truthful states (films, bars, art galleries, etc. All can serve as settings for Death Proof to experience stage). At last, Death Proof is a collective built in Tilburg, The Netherlands, that has been working with Helder Seabra, Kristel Van Issum, Van Abbehuis…. and that is seeking to work with different artists, associations or any place where performative art can take place. Like this, Death Proof wants to push the limits (of our abilities, our emotions, legality, formality, the stage).
