Screening of the West African masterpiece Sarraounia, the story of the Queen of the Azna people who fought off French invaders in 1899. The evening will start with West African food at 17:30 (€5-10 per plate), followed by the movie at 18:00, then a post-film discussion where the film’s colonial history in light of what is happening now in the Sahel will be a topic.This screening is part of the Revolting Cinema film and discussion series by Landline Press, with the support of Van Abbehuis.
