Screening of the West African masterpiece Sarraounia, the story of the Queen of the Azna people who fought off French invaders in 1899.

The evening will start with West African food at 17:30 (€5–10 per plate), followed by the movie at 18:00, then a post-film discussion where the film’s colonial history in light of what is happening now in the Sahel will be a topic.

T.M. Cabrera, founder of Landline, is a Netherlands-based editorial designer and publisher, raised in Texas. In 2022, they founded Revolting Press, a publishing house dedicated to producing and disseminating political literature.
