In Color Chronicles, Stella Verdult explores color as a material. The childlike tactility softens the contrasts in her work, oscillating between material experimentation and self-proclaimed “playdates.” During her working period, she invites other artists to respond to her work, including Cindy Bakker, Pim Top, Tim Mastik, and Studio Rens, creating an ongoing dialogue. The results of these interventions are displayed alongside Stella’s own work, forming a conversation between the pieces.
